Started her modeling and acting career at the age of 16 walking runways and doing theatre in Panama. She studied International Business and finished as 1st runner up in Miss Panama Beauty Pageant,  winning awards for “Best Runway” and “Best Body”. This year she moves to Miami and signs a contract with the international agency Wilhelmina Models.

Some of the clients and designers Maria has worked in the years she has been living in Miami are Agua Bendita, Aldo, Alfaparf, AT&T, Toyota, Christian Audigier, Cosmopolitan, Dunkin Donuts, Guess, Jennifer Lopez, Leonisa, Luli Fama, Miller Lite, Movistar, Panasonic, Pantene, Pitbull, Poko Pano, Roberto Cavalli, Starbucks, True Religion, among others. She has also filmed several short films and appeared as one of the lead girls in Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull’ music video “Liv It Up” which currently has over 260 million views. Participated in the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Miami for 6 years and appeared in magazines like Blush Magazine, Ellas Magazine, Conexiones, Auno, Vanidades and Cosmopolitan. Also has had roles in the American TV series Burn Notice, The Glades and Ballers and in several Spanish soap operas.

While in Miami she got inspired to create her own handmade jewelry line. She always had a passion for design and loved fashion so accessories became a great way to start her brand. This is how Ziggy & The Stones was born. For the edgy, rebellious and fashion-driven person. In love with American and British Rock & Roll, Ziggy & The Stones is highly influenced by it.

Today Maria works in her personal and fashion brands. Releases weekly You Tube videos, blogs and valuable content throughout her socials.
