5 Ways to manage stress

Stress is a very common problem today. Here are 5 healthy techniques that can help you manage it better:

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  1. Be active: I find that working out is the best way to release stress. I am not the type of person who goes to workout when stressed BUT I try to do it often and it does helps get less stress and just be more energetic and happy.
  2. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  3. Manage your time: it’s imperative to organize your to do’s. Write down every single task (I write them on my phone calendar), from reading 2 pages of a book at night with a daily alarm to having to shoot next day. It’s so easy to forget the little things you have/want to do. We live in a world where our attention span is getting shorter and shorter. There are so many distractions that we need to be clear in our priorities.
  4. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  5. Talk to someone: weather is a friend, a cousin, your mom. Is not easy to tell someone else your problems but it helps so much. Not necessarily for advice but just to let it out. When you say it out loud or sleep on it your head gets cleared and you might get ideas on how to solve it.
  6. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  7. Read a great book or watch a good TV series: sometimes it’s hard for me to focus when I’m stress and have other 1000 things in my mind. But when is 10pm and you did what you could, it helps to try to put your attention into an amazing book or good TV series.
  8. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  9. Meditate: there are so many meditation videos on You Tube and also different apps you can use especially before going to sleep. I’m not big in meditation, I only do it to sleep and when I’m feeling overwhelmed. So if you are like me, try <my favorite meditation> and fall asleep like a baby. It helps if you have insomnia and in general you sleep so much better.

Hope any of these help and if you have more ideas I’d if you share them in the comments!
